As an attorney, I aim to prioritize my client’s goals, listen to their concerns and ensure they feel informed and empowered throughout the legal process.

My passion for the law and grew from my time as a Legal Research Intern with the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. I conducted comparative legal research on child protection and human trafficking. I contributed to policy analysis and white paper development.

I gained valuable experience in family law, working as an undergraduate student at the University of Arizona Family Law Clinic. I met with self-represented litigants, informing them of the administrative process, key filing dates, and providing access and instruction to court forms.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science with a concentration in International Relations, and Art History, from the University of Arizona, graduating magna cum laude.

I received my Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law, with a certificate in family law.

As a first-generation college student and first-generation Law graduate, I understand how complex and confusing the legal system can be. Growing up in a blue-collar family, I saw first-hand how divorce, custody disputes, and the loss of loved ones impacted my community, driving me to ensure that my clients undergoing those major life changes can navigate them with clarity and autonomy.

As an undergraduate studying for my teaching degree, I worked alongside individuals with developmental disabilities to provide them with day-to-day care and advocate for their personal wants and autonomy. This work has led me to explore how we as community members work with and care for each other.

It was this work that led me to seek international opportunities, working in South Africa with multiple anti-apartheid groups focused on healing the long-term effects of apartheid and genocide, taking personal testimony of apartheid survivors, working alongside local and national government agencies to provide support for the most vulnerable community members, and fostering a life-long dedication to community care.

My dedication continued through Law School, where I was a participant in the University of Illinois at Chicago Law School’s Civil Rights cohort, focusing on legal strategies to advocate for the rights of minority groups, and participated in the International Human Rights clinic, where I was able to internationally co-publish a litigation toolkit, providing litigation strategies for international attorneys to advocate for the rights of vulnerable groups in environmental law cases.

In addition to my studies and publication, I also served as a volunteer for an Inside-Out legal education program, focused on providing a foundational understanding of the legal system and its functions to incarcerated members of our community by holding classes within the jails where they reside.

My dedication to promoting diversity in the legal field and advocacy for vulnerable individuals and groups continues past law school, exemplified in my volunteer work with the Minority Legal Education Resource, Inc. where I am a senior tutor who provides free or low-cost educational opportunities to minority law students preparing to take the bar exam; and my work as the chairperson of the Chicago Appleseed Domestic Relations and Domestic Violence committee, currently working to expand legal access to low income community members facing incarceration in child support proceedings under local rule 13.8(b).

I received my Bachelors of Science from Central Michigan University, where I majored in Secondary English Education, with a minor in History, and a concentration in Cultural Studies. I subsequently received my Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Illinois at Chicago Law School, with a concentration in International Human Rights Law.
